SPA Environmental Care plc was established in 1983 to offer maintenance services in the Midlands area
With winter Gritting being just one of our specialties. Full landscape maintenance and renovations were the original services provided by Spa Environmental and is still a thriving part of the business in 2012.
Based in Warwick, gritting.com has fantastic coverage for gritting and de-icing roads across the U.K. Our various depots allows for a quick response time for gritting and de-icing your grounds, ensuring a safe environment throughout the day. Because we work independently from Council’s gritting services, we are able to work on private land, iced over business parks and hard to reach areas.
In 1995 Spa Environmental invested heavily in providing a Winter Gritting service to the Midlands region. The rapid growth of the service, reputation and customer relations has resulted in Spa being recognised alongside national competitors. We’ve provided gritting services for schools, hospitals, businesses, retail parks, industrial
estates and even local authorities. Our service is trusted, reliable, and highly reputable. The foundations of the company have been built upon year on year whist keeping the principle of first class service no matter the size and site portfolio.
An executive decision was taken in 2010 to evolve the Spa brand into Gritting.com with the expansion of the winter maintenance side of the company. The service now will run under the re-branding of Gritting.com, but still be part of the Spa group.
Strategy & Vision
Within the next 5 years Gritting.com will be the recognised market leader in the provision of a winter gritting service. An increased portfolio of sites will be gained upon a National scale with the same customer care and service maintained. Growth will not compromise the original Spa Environmental quality.
To organise and implement the safeguarding of customer premises with an effective and efficient Winter Gritting service whilst maintaining first-class customer service. Gritting.com has the appropriate infrastructure to support and aid managerial decisions in relation to minimising the damage severe weather can cause.
Our strategy is to create an infrastructure that supports, advises and looks after our customers. We invest in the service by providing a comprehensive winter forecasting service that is only deployed when needed. We aim to move our current strong and sustainable relationships with all customers in the Midlands area to a National level making Gritting.com the market force nationally and the number winter contractor in the UK.
